GOD REVEALED

How does the created understand the Creator? God is a spirit and totally beyond us to understand. People simply don't relate real well to that which we can't see. We need something which we can relate to.

Most can understand that God must be big and certainly powerful, BUT what is He like? It's one thing to be told God loves you BUT what does that love look like and how does it relate to me?

God has seen to it that we have information about Him. The Bible is God's written record. God has seen to it that we are are informed about Him. It's interesting that in the Old Testament that God chose to be know by the name YHWH or as it has been translated in our english versions LORD (all capital letters) The depth of its meaning is, "the Self Existent One who reveals Himself". From the book of Genesis right on up until the life and person of the Lord Jesus Christ we can learn from the Scriptures that this is what God had been doing.

When Jesus came into the world God was doing something absolutely profound. He was giving humanity a personal, visual expression of His heart. he was making Himself known to His creation is a way that they could understand. He chose to personally take on the form of the created, to come as a person, to live as we live and do for us what we could never do for ourselves.

Jn.1:18 - No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

Jn.1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jn.1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Lk.6:45 - The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

NOTE: What is in the heart is seen when expressed in words. What is in God's heart has been made clearly known to us through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Heb.1:1,2 - Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

Jn.12:45 - And whosoever sees me sees Him who sent Me.

Jn.14:8,9 - Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know Me Philip? Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Sow us the Father'?

ACCOUNTABILITY

What I'm sharing with you comes from the Bible which after my own personal salvation experience at the age of 26 (over 40 yrs. ago) has proven totally actuate. It's God's Word to us.

In Isaiah 55:8,9  we are told something very basic yet very important for us to see and understand.  "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Romans 14:12 - So then each of us will give
an account of himself to God.

Clearly the Creator is unique from creation. His standards for life and living is all that really matters. It's Him we MUST give account to.  We can be sure of this, no one is going to escape Divine accountability.

Hebrews 9:27 tells us that "it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment"  We all physically die BUT that is not the end. We are more than just physical bodies. We have a soul and spirit that goes beyond the physical.

Sin (a standard of living contrary to God's ways) entered God's creation. Kind of like a cancer to the human body. Because of God's love for His creation He has chosen to remove the spiritual cancer of SIN.

 SIN = Self
           Indulgence
           Nature

            OR

 SIN = Self
           Interest
           Nature

The God given cure for sin is Jesus. Only He has the power to cleanse us of this spiritual disease. We MUST take Him in. On so doing He enters us and cleanses us making us presentable to the Father. Have you received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? Have you taken Him in? He's the only cure!

John 5:24 - Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

John 3:3 - Jesus answered him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is BORN AGAIN he cannot see the kingdom of God." It's when we receive Jesus into our lives as our personal Lord and Savior that we receive God's cure for the spiritual cancer of sin.

Understanding God's Heart

John 3:17 - For God did not send Jesus Christ into the world to condemn the world but that the world might be saved through Him.

Everyone born into the human family needs to born into "God's family".

I speak from personal experience. I do know what it is to experience the awesome life changing power of the Lord Jesus Christ. I wasn't raised in a Christian environment at all. I grew up very much believing that Christians weren't strong enough, to get through life, by themselves. I felt they had to have a religious crutch to make it.

I was very self determined to make it on my own and by the time I was 26 I had my own very successful welding and heavy equipment repair business. Outwardly I had a lot, the new shop, the new house, the new car, a great wife, a two year son and I loved what I was doing. Inside however was a totally different story. I had such deep inner rage. It would even scare me. I was so incredibly frustrated inside and I couldn't fix myself.

I had for as long as I could remember wanted to know what life was all about. How did we get here? Where were we going? What happens after I die? So many questions and up to this point I couldn't find anything that seemed to make any real sense to me.

One Sunday night I went to a very small church with Carol, my wife, who had asked me to go with her. As I sat and listened to the preacher I was told that I was a sinner, I had been born into sin as apart of the human family. It was as clear as day to me. I couldn't deny it. Yes I had sinned in my short life time. He went on to say that Jesus, God's Son had paid in full for my sins. He had been judged by the holy, righteous Father with death on my behalf. Jesus had taken my sin upon Himself. He had died in my place. I saw it as plain as day. I understood deep down inside what Jesus had done for me.

Having completed his message about God's love for me the preacher than asked if anyone would like to get right with God, to be personally forgiven and cleansed. Deep down inside I knew that I wanted to get right with God. I wanted to ask for His forgiveness and to thank Him for what Jesus had done for me.

When I personally prayed to God acknowledging that I was a sinner in need of being saved, I asked His forgiveness and welcomed Him into my life to be my personal Lord and Savior. I gave my life totally to Him and as I did something happened inside that is simply beyond words to explain. I knew that I was right with God. I knew without a shadow of a doubt that if I were to drop dead right there and then all would be well. I was filled if such peace and joy. It was and is incredible.

This awesome, powerful experience with God happened to me on Jan. 28, 1975, that's over 40 years ago now and with all honesty I have found that the Bible is God's Word to us and that He is, and does, exactly what He says in His Word.

If you have not yet received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior I want to encourage you to. You can come to the Lord. He is calling you. Come Now!
