Born of God

John.3:6-8 -  That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Every human being has been physically birthed into the human race. What Jesus is saying here is that in order to experience eternal life we MUST be birthed into His spiritual eternal family.

To be "Born Again" is to be birthed of God and in a very real and powerful life changing experience, one that I have personally experienced. I wasn't raised as a Christian or involved with Church. It was at the age of 26 that I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Outwardly I appeared successful but inside I had such rage. It was said of me by a very godly senior lady that if it was impossible for someone to be saved I would be the one. Prior to my salvation experience I thought that Christians were people who couldn't make it through life without a crutch.

Prior to being "Born Again" I was really struggling with what life was really all about. Where had we come from? Where were we going? What about after death, etc.? I still recall the night on January 28, 1975 when I turned my life over to Christ, when I invited Him into my life to be Lord. There's simply no human words to accurately express the peace and joy that flooded my inner being. That marked such a wonderful and powerful change. It actually started a "change process" that continues to this very day. Like John.3:8 says, you can't see the Spirit of God in the Born Again Believer but you sure can see the changes He makes.

If you haven't experienced being Born Again, Born of God I certainly encourage you to seriously consider turning to the Lord. He wants you do for you what you can never do for yourself.
